A former public house on a corner site. Three storeys, yellow stock brick, parapet roof, the first floor windows have triangular pediments, with the second floor windows in plain surrounds. There are two blank windows on the first and second floors. The ground floor is polished grey/black granite with piers framing large plate glass windows. The piers have rectangular shaped capitals below the first floor string course and there are small triangular pediments framing the outer corners and central corner at first floor level. Ornamented shop front featuring plasterwork and marble. Entrance on corner with keystone above. In keeping with character of surrounding buildings, but grander and more ornamented.Today used as a shop and residential. Old sign for Duncan Road.
